Today we went and picked up a Bumbo seat and tray for Brianna. A friend of mine got one for her son and it looked so perfect for a little one, that I decided to get one too. It is purely coincidental that her outfit matches her Bumbo seat. 
Brianna has become quite fond of the toy bridge on her bouncy seat. We typically set it so that she has to move the dangling toys so she can hear the music/nature sounds and see the lights. Usually, she kicks with her feet and bats with her hands to make things move, but today I caught her being quite lazy about the whole thing. See for yourself!
Today Brianna is 3 months old and she continues to amaze and fascinate us every day. Here are a couple of recent pictures. The first is a picture of her during her first 4th of July, and the second is a picture of her in her little gator outfit.
According to our scale and tape measure, she now weighs 10 lbs. 1 oz. and is ~23.5″ long. Her eyes are still a deep blue and she still has a full head of hair, but it is getting lighter. Unlike so many women in this world, she has lighter roots!
She has accomplished a lot during this past month. She giggles and smiles constantly and she likes to “talk” to us all the time. Mostly ahhhs, oohhhs, aarhs, and such. She has also started batting/kicking at toys around her and and if you put something in her hand, she will grasp it tightly. Occasionally, while batting at a toy she will grab it and hold on for a bit. I expect she will soon be grabbing things regularly. Here is a picture of her with her soccer rattle.
She is also getting very good at holding her head up and I think she will roll over from her tummy to her back very soon. During tummy time yesterday, she couldn’t keep her eyes off the tennis match between Federer and Safin — see picture below. Of course, she was rooting for Federer. She was doing the same thing today during the tennis match between Venus and Serena Williams. Perhaps we have a budding tennis fan in our midst??
