Well, for the first time since Jason was away at college while I was still in high school, we were apart for my birthday. The girls and I still had a good time – went to one of my fav restaurants for dinner (I wasn’t about to cook, ya know…), where they give out these twisty sticky things you can make all kinds of stuff with. The girls made glasses…

Jason picked up my requested cake when he returned, and I basically got to celebrate my birthday over the course of a week (with presents, cake, and two dinners scattered throughout. I had a great time and have much to be thankful for! But am most grateful for the opportunity and ability to work part time so that I can spend precious time with my girls.
