This past week has been interesting as Jason has been in California skiing and attending a conference and I have been home working. He seemed to have had a great time, but I’ll let him tell you about his trip. As for me, while I missed him I still had a good time with friends and family. He left the Friday after Valentine’s Day, and my aunt Kathy came for a visit that weekend. We had an excellent time spoiling ourselves with facials and pedicures, dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, shopping, and a cooking class. While it was a long weekend (President’s Day weekend), the weekend eventually did end and Kathy had to go back home. Normally when Jason is out of town I watch all kinds of movies that he won’t like and cook my favorite foods that he won’t eat and generally enjoy the alone time. But, this time was different. First, I am not really allowed to eat some of my favorite foods right now. 
Second, I had plans for just about every night he was gone (very unusual). Tuesday and Thursday night I went with my friend Laura to the hockey game. My guys lost the first game in overtime but won the second game very convincingly. I don’t normally go to two games a week (or even two games a month), but we bought tickets to the first game and then Laura scored free tickets to the second game. Woohoo!! Wednesday night I went to supperclub with a bunch of girlfriends (we get together once a month for dinner). It was an exhausting week, but I still had a great time. Friday night, while everyone else went out to do whatever it is people do on Friday nights, I just stayed home and recuperated. Jason came home Saturday night and while we both enjoyed our “alone” time, we are both glad he is home and everything is back to normal.
Today we assembled the crib, so soon we will post pictures of that along with the dots. We just need to put up the dots first. I planned to do so today, but we declared break time after the crib assembly as Jason still has jet lag, and well, I am still pregnant! Stay tuned.
